Exocet Turbo boost for early planning?

Following on from my post of 24th Dec regarding early planning boards, I
have a chance to buy the an Exocet Turbo boost 75 (described as a slalom
board, 260 x 75cm 128L).

I am looking for an early planning board for 10 - 15 knot winds with an 8.5m
or 9.0m sail.

This would be my biggest board. I have smaller boards and sails and would
normally use a 105litre board and 7.0m sail when the wind gets above 15
knots, so ability to carry small sails and handle strong winds isn't really
important to me. I'm mainly interested in early planning and speed with a
9.0m sail in 10 - 15 knot winds.

Would the Turboboost 75 meet my needs or would you have other
recommendations?

I weigh about 73kg and am an advanced intermediate.

Thanks

That's a good link, thanks.

Anyone else sailed one of these boards?

That's a sweet board Martin. I recently bought one. I've only sailed it 5
times so far. I'm a tad lighter than you these days, also advanced
intermediate and I bought it for my light wind big board for freeride,
cruising, maybe casual racing.

It's bloody lovely. Truly fast, really handles nicely, and user friendly,
comfortable and handsome. I don't know about the durability however.

Mine came with a 45cm fin and "upwind kit" (the uk is a klugy but smick
looking plate that fills in the hyperbolic cutout around the fin. It is held
in by the fin bolts). I have yet to sail it without the uk but I hear you
need about 4cm more fin to get the same lift. I'll get a bigger fin and then
I will have the choice of riding it -
a) short fin and no uk, - fast downwind slalom and maybe lots of spinout.
b) long fin and no uk, - fast downwind slalom and no spinout.
c) short fin plus uk, - fast all over with reasonable upwind
d) long fin plus uk - big sail cruising
I had a ride on its smaller sib the TB65. It had a 49 fin in it with the uk
and an 8.0 race sail. Even though it was well powered it didn't feel the
least bit over finned so I fully expect the TB75 to take a 50 in its stride.
I notice the Exocet blurb says it takes a 52.

My biggest sail is an 8.5 and that feels very much at home on the TB75. It
also handles my 7.2 nicely. I think it would take a 9.5 nicely.
